Ao longo do mês de Setembro tivemos a noticia que um grupo de 15(!) colegas nossos vieram para a Noruega, trabalhar na concorrência e um para a Apotek1 (Hilsen Luis C e Nadia M!)

Foram parar a lugares tão distantes como Hammerfest, Bardufoss, Ålesund, Fagernes, Lillehammer e Heistad. 

Para terem um noção demora pouco mais tempo a conduzir da cidade onde moramos (Porsgrunn) a Lisboa do que da nossa cidade a Hammerfest. Culpa das maravilhosas estradas da Noruega! :). No caso de Hammerfest, torna-se mais rápido ir pela Suécia do que por dentro da Noruega!!

A partir do corrente mês de Julho "mudei" de emprego. Continuo ligado contratualmente à empresa Apotek1 - também não podia ser de outra forma porque temos de cumprir obrigatoriamente 1 ano de contracto - mas como estava a trabalhar na minha farmácia apenas para suprir a falta de uma farmacêutica que estava de baixa de maternidade, foi necessário arranjar uma outra solução.

O IEFP ajuda a emigrar.. um bocado tarde // The IEFP helps with emigration... too late.

Pois é recebi um email do IEFP (Instituto do Emprego e Formação Profissional). O IEFP enviou-me um simpático email a dar conhecimento de uma oportunidade para emigrar para a... Noruega. Muito útil portanto. :)

Resolvi responder a dizer que já cá estava. Ainda me responderam a perguntar se o EURES me tinha ajudado! Bem.. a nós não mas creio que alguns farmacêuticos que venham para cá a seguir possam vir com uma ajuda da rede EURES. Enfim, não deixou de ser engraçado.

No seguimento do interesse que manifestou, junto do IEFP, em trabalhar fora de Portugal, vimos pela presente informá-l@ de que a Noruega está presentemente com necessidades de recrutamento no segmento dos profissionais de Farmácia.

Neste âmbito, os serviços EURES de Portugal e da Noruega estão a colaborar no sentido de iniciar em Portugal algumas atividades de recrutamento com empregadores noruegueses (que se iniciarão muito em breve) – para o que estamos a realizar um levantamento d@s candidat@s a emprego interessad@s neste projeto.

So.. I got  an email from IEFP (Employment and Professional Training Institute of Portugal). They sent me a nice email to inform of an opportunity to emigrate to ... Norway. Very useful so. :)

I answered saying I was already here.. And they asked me if EURES has helped me somehow. In my case they didn't but Carolina knows other pharmacists that here helped by them. Anyway.. I think it was funny :)

Tenho a dizer que ficámos muito contentes por receber um email com dúvidas relacionadas com a nossa vinda para a Noruega. Por favor sintam-se à vontade para nos contactar !

Achámos que, por serem questões pertinentes, era proveitoso elaborar um post (que acabou em 2 por ser extenso) com a resposta!

O nosso colega Ricardo entrou em contacto, uma vez que também ele está em processo de recrutamento para a mesma empresa onde nós trabalhamos.

Fica a também a nota que é um pouco cedo para a resposta a algumas questões mas que tentámos responder na medida do possível!

Resolvemos também dar o ponto de vista dos dois :)

Perguntas:

1- Quando decidiram ir, deram-vos alguma garantia que ficariam juntos?

R: Sim, isso foi um factor decisivo. Se não tivéssemos essa garantia não tinhamos agarrado esta oportunidade.

C: Sim! Foi algo que nós perguntámos desde início.. não podíamo-nos ter arriscado a aceitar entrar no programa e saber 5 ou 6 meses depois que íamos para pontas opostas do país.

2- Tiveram oportunidade de escolher as zonas onde estariam dispostos a trabalhar, ou podiam ir parar ao norte, Tromso e coisas do género?

R: Não tivemos a menor hipótese de escolher onde iríamos parar. Sempre foi uma das coisas que nos preocupou mais, pois teoricamente poderíamos ser colocados no “cu da Noruega”, até porque em Kirkenes também há Apotek 1 :). Para além do Norte com a falta de luz e o frio, se fossemos parar à parte oeste (Bergen, Stavanger) tínhamos que nos preocupar (e muito) com os diferentes dialectos (e línguas!) que se fala por essa área. Graças aos Deuses que viemos parar a uma zona onde se fala Bokmål. Mesmo assim quando apanhamos alguém que fala num dialecto "estranho" é uma tortura.

C: Como o Ricardo disse, gozaram "à brava" connosco de Janeiro a Setembro (quando soubemos para onde vínhamos). Podíamos ter ido parar a qualquer lado. Tenho a dizer, no entanto, que na entrevista nos perguntaram se tínhamos preferência por alguma zona do país. Claro que não era vinculativo mas acredito que se pedires muito para ir para um "distrito" específico eles tentam encaixar-te lá porque, no fundo, se fores seleccionado, a empresa quer-te ver feliz e contente no teu sitio para que fiques lá por “muitos e longos anos” :).

3- A cidade em que estão é relativamente próxima da capital. Terão oportunidade de permanecer aí ou a dada altura vão parar a uma vila qualquer?

R: Eu sou “vikar”, o que quer dizer que sou substituto na farmácia onde estou. No verão quando voltar a farmacêutica que está de baixa de gravidez serei colocado noutra farmácia mas garantiram-me que vou continuar a viver no mesmo sitio.

C: No meu caso, a ideia é ficar naquela farmácia. No entanto, já percebi que as coisas às vezes mudam. A chefe de uma farmácia próxima tem ido lá fazer umas horas, por exemplo, porque a minha farmácia tem falta de farmacêuticos (sendo que eu ainda não conto como farmacêutica no esquema de horários porque ainda estou lá há pouco tempo). E o meu chefe actual também trabalhava noutra farmácia da zona (creio que até era chefe lá) mas está a trabalhar na minha por um ano porque a chefe está de baixa de maternidade. Por isso, como disse, as coisas podem mudar um bocado. Mas, pelo que percebi é dentro destes exemplos que estou a dar.

4- A outra colega está muito afastada de vocês? Ficou sozinha?

R: A PG ficou a 5 horas de distância (não Ricardo… ficou a mais :/), mas ficou numa cidade onde já trabalhava uma farmacêutica portuguesa, e também há outra portuguesa lá.

C: Com grande pena minha a PG ficou bem longe (ela ficou em Flekkefjord) numa cidade mais pequena que as “nossas” (uma vez que, no fundo, eu trabalho em Porsgrunn). No entanto, apesar disso teve muita sorte uma vez que moram lá 2 portuguesas, uma que já conhecíamos anteriormente pelo facebook uma vez que também é farmacêutica e trabalha numa Apotek1 (essa sim, foi lá colocada com a filhota sem ninguém que conhecesse). Por isso, dentro do azar de ter ido para tão longe até teve bastante sorte. E por acaso, acho que a empresa teve isso em conta. (mas isto já são especulações obviamente).

We thought that, being relevant issues, was profitable draw up a post (which ended in 2 because of the length of it) with the answer! Our colleague Ricardo came into contact, since he also is in the recruitment process for the same company where we work.

It is also to note that the answer to some of the things is a bit early to answer correctly. We decided to also give the point of view of us two :)

Questions:

1 - When they decided to go, you have some assurance that they would be together?

R: Yes, this was a decisive factor. If we hadn't that assurance had not grabbed this opportunity.

C: Yes! It was something we asked from the beginning .. we couldn't have ventured to accept into the program and know 5 or 6 months later we were going to opposite sides of the country.

2- Did you have the opportunity to choose the place where you would be willing to work, or could you end up in the north, Tromso and other northern cities?

R: We hadn't the slightest chance to choose where we would stop. It had always been one of the things that worried us more because we could theoretically be placed on "Norway's ass", because in Kirkenes you can also find Apotek 1 :). In addition to the North with the lack of light and cold, if we ended in the western part (Bergen, Stavanger) we would have also to be worried (much) about the different dialects (and languages!) spoken in those areas. Thank god that did we get to an area where they speak Bokmål. Yet when we catch someone who speaks a "strange" dialect is torture.

C: As Ricardo said, our friends mocked us hard from January to September (when we knew where we were going to live). We could have ended anywhere. I have to say, however, that in the interview we were asked about preferences of the country. Of course it was not binding but I believe that if you ask a lot to go for a specific "district" they try to fit you there because, deep down, if you are selected, the company wants you to be happy and contented in your place for you to stay there for "many years to come" :).

3- The city in which you live is relatively close to the capital. Will you have the opportunity to stay there or at some point will stop any village?

R: I am "Vikar", which means I'm a substitute in the pharmacy where I am. By the summer when the pharmacist that is away because of pregnancy comes, I will be placed in another pharmacy but  the company guaranteed me I will continue living in the same place.

C: In my case, the idea is to stay in that pharmacy. However, I realized that things sometimes change. The head of a nearby pharmacy is working in my pharmacy for a couple of hours, for example, because my pharmacy has lack of pharmacists (and I still do not count as a pharmacist in the time scheme because I am there recently and I steel need to learn lots of things). And my current boss also worked in another pharmacy  in this area (I believe it was head chef there also) but is working on mine for a year because the my actual boss is also with maternity low. So, as I said, things can change a bit. But from what I realized is within these examples I'm giving.

4 - The other pharmacist you know is too far away from you? Is she  alone?

R: The PG is 5 hours away (nope ... Ricardo! is more than that !:/), but a Portuguese pharmacist was already working in the city, and there is also other Portuguese there.

C: With great regret for me,  PG is far away (she lives in Flekkefjord) in a smaller town that "our" own cities (because, deep down, I work in Porsgrunn). However, despite this.. I think she was very lucky since there live two Portuguese girls, one that we already knew before ( on facebook) as she is also pharmacist and works in Apotek1 (that yes, it was placed there with her daughter there knowing nobody). Therefore, in the hazard of being so far from us  I think she was lucky. And by the way, I think the company took account on this. (but this is just an obviously speculation by me).

Farmácia na Noruega #1 // Pharmacy in Norway #1

Amigos farmacêuticos portugueses se estiverem na farmácia e seja necessário Dermovate, liguem-me que eu tenho muitos com papelada Portuguesa cá.

Garanto que USO EXTERNO não significa nada em norueguês :P

Portanto, aqui é perfeitamente normal haver importação paralela e não só de Portugal, como também da Suécia por exemplo. Ficaram foi muito surpreendidos quando contei que por vezes temos falta de medicamentos devido a esta exportação paralela, e  nem sei se há falta de deste produto actualmente.

Acabámos hoje a nossa primeira semana de "estágio" mas a minha semana foi muito diferente da semana da Carolina. Enquanto eu passei a semana toda de volta do balcão sem aprender praticamente nenhum trabalho de backoffice, a Carol esteve este período a aprender essa faceta do trabalho de Farmacêutico na Noruega.

Há muitas, muitas diferenças no trabalho realizado por nós como farmacêuticos. Algumas coisas vamos contando mas, mais tarde e com mais experiência, faço um apanhado com uma comparação com o nosso trabalho como Farmacêuticos em Portugal.

 Continuando na mesma temática, sabem o que é que é realmente muito caro?

- Os medicamentos!  É só um exemplo mas hoje vendi com receita uma caixa de Xanor 2 mg de 100 comprimidos ( que é uma quantidade absolutamente normal aqui), por 353 NOK. O que equivale a mais coisa menos coisa 42 Euros por uma embalagem de Xanax Xr (Alprazolam) em Portugal, que ficaria a cerca de 10€ a embalagem de 60.

Claro que há vários tipos de receitas e de comparticipações e a maioria das pessoas nesta altura já atingiu o máximo que pode pagar por certos medicamentos e assim, pode levá-los de graça.

To our portuguese pharmacists friends: if you are in the pharmacy and you need Dermovate (as you can see in the picture above), just call me  because I have a lot of paperwork here with Portuguese language.

So, here it is perfectly normal to have parallel importation not only of Portugal but also from Sweden for example. The pharmacists here were even quite surprised when I told them that sometimes we have lack of drugs because of this parallel exports. I don't even know if there is a shortage of this product currently in Portugal.

Today we finished our first week of "internship" but my week was very different from the week of Carolina. While I spent the whole week back from the counter without learning almost nothing from the work we have to do in the "backoffice", it was what Carol has deed in this period and she learned this facet of the pharmacist job in Norway.

There are many, many differences in the work done by us as pharmacists. Some things we will tell now but later and with more experience, I will do a roundup with a comparison with our work as pharmacists in here and in Portugal.

  Following on the same theme, do you know what is really overpriced?

- Drugs (legal ones :P) ! It's just an example but I sold  today a recipe with a box of Xanor 2mg 100 tablets (which is a perfectly normal amount here) for 353 NOK. Which is around 42 Euros for a pack of Xanax Xr (Alprazolam) in Portugal, which would be about 10 € to 60 packing.

Of course there are several types of revenue and contributions and most people at this point has reached the maximum you can pay for certain drugs and thus can get them for free. But nevertheless... it is really expensive!

So I can say now that we finished our first full week in Skien!

Processo de Equivalência de Curso de Ciências Farmacêuticas // Applying for Pharmacists' License

          O que é necessário para o pedido de Equivalência:

 Começámos a estudar no fim de Janeiro e, só por volta de Junho ou Julho é que enviámos os documentos para o SAK (Statens Autorisasjonskontor for Helsepersonell), cuja tradução será algo como “Gabinete do estado para autorizações/ registos na saúde”.

Para o nosso caso em concreto, ou seja para farmacêuticos,

Para Farmacêuticos

A quem pensa em emigrar para a Noruega e não tem a minima ideia de como isso se processa, é interessante de ler.

É importante ter noção que, para farmacêuticos eles falam no site de um prazo de 3 meses para a recepção de resposta. No meu caso demorou um mês (ou menos), no caso do Ricardo demorou 2 meses mais coisa menos coisa e no caso da PG demorou os tais 3 meses. Por isso façam por pecar por excesso de tempo e não por defeito.

Deixo aqui então o resumo do que é necessário tratar para quem se candidata de um país da União Europeia:

1. Passaporte actualizado: Vão tratar dele o quanto antes. Eu apanhei uma greve do SEF (Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras) e fiquei cerca de 3 semanas à espera dele em vez dos 5 dias úteis; Contem com 65€;
2. Diploma/Carta de curso/ Certificado de Habilitações em Inglês. Depende um pouco da faculdade onde acabaram o curso. Em Lisboa praticamente só se utiliza o certificado de habilitações. Tem que estar de acordo com o Article 44 of the Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005. Conforme o que peçam, e conforme o preçário dessa altura na vossa faculdade contem com valores que podem ser bastante diferentes (já tinha pedido outro certificado mas da licenciatura e num espaço de um mês ou dois os preços aumentaram de forma ridícula) . Eu paguei pelo meu cerca de 70€;
3. Declaração da Ordem dos Farmacêuticos: creio que lhe chamam CCPS. Não tenham problema. Com esta vaga de emigração eles sabem perfeitamente o que é. No fundo é uma declaração em que atesta que são farmacêuticos, que não têm qualquer dívida ou processo disciplinar em curso e que tiraram o curso (estou me a tornar muito repetitiva lol) numa faculdade ao abrigo do mesmo Artigo 44 do ponto anterior. Neste campo paguei a módica quantia de 312,5€. Isto porque tive de me inscrever na Ordem, pagar 300 € (uma pechincha, qual quê?) da jóia e ainda uma quota (sim 12,5€ por mês para a Ordem quando há farmacêuticos a receber 700€ por mês... irreal não é?!) antes que pudesse declarar-me como “desempregada” para não ter de pagar mais nada. Ter em atenção que antes de emigrarem têm de enviar um email à Ordem a avisar que se vão embora e que desejam inscritos como farmacêuticos correspondentes - não pagam quotas;
4. Mais dinheiro. Para completar o processo ainda se tem de pagar uma fee para que o Ministério norueguês trate do processo. Foram mais 234,69€. Um pormenor importante: têm de saber no vosso banco como é que conseguem emitir um recibo (não pode ser print screen) e têm de saber também como fazer o pagamento em coroas (NOK em vez de Euro), e sem despesas partilhadas. Do pouco que percebo de “banquês”, "sem despesas partilhadas" significa que é quem se está a candidatar que paga todos os custos de operação. Para uma transferência de 1560 NOK (193€) pagámos 41,60€ de custos operacionais (obrigada mãe ,obrigada pai que me pagaram esta parte J ). Há que dizer que perguntámos em diversos bancos e percebi que mais “cêntimo” menos “cêntimo” acaba por ser em todos estes tipos de valores de que vos falei;
5. Preencher o formulário presente no site: 
6. Autenticar os documentos todos e enviar pelo correio: Nós tratámos disso nos CTT mas acho que foi arriscado uma vez que, só depois de ter pago e me terem colocado os papéis na mão é que vi que nos CTT a autenticação é APENAS feita em português. Não faz grande sentido mas que querem?! Enfim, está uma lista genérica no site do SAK dos organismos que eles aceitam como podendo autenticar documentos. Conheço uma farmacêutica também na Noruega (beijinho RM se me leres algum dia :P) que tratou desta autenticação na embaixada da Noruega. Contem com mais uns 45€.

Como se pode ver, até para emigrar é preciso ter fundo de maneio. Se formos a calcular todos os custos, só neste processo vão mais de 700€.  Eu, sinceramente, já tinha noção deste tipo de valores por ter falado com um colega nosso que está no Reino Unido. Porém, continuo a achar muito dinheiro!!

E quando afinal parece que faltava alguma coisa?

Pois! Foi verdade. Enviámos os papéis e ficamos a aguardar notícias. Só estava à espera de noticias lá para Setembro, uma vez que a PG só teve noticias do seu processo 3 meses depois quando recebeu uma carta em casa com a sua carteira profissional norueguesa.

Contudo, 3 semanas depois de termos enviado a carta, recebi um email de um representante do SAK que estava encarregue do meu processo. E ao Ricardo não tinham enviado nada.

Ora pois, que dizia o email? Dizia que eu não tinha enviado o Diploma/Carta de curso. Ups. Como disse?! Basicamente a partir daí foi uma troca de emails explicando que o Certificado de Habilitações que lhe tinha enviado era muito mais completo que o Diploma e que este Diploma custava cerca de 100€ e demorava pelo menos 6 meses a ser emitido (sim, isto é verídico! Tudo porque tem a assinatura do Reitor da Universidade).

Conseguimos chegar a um entendimento e rumei para a Faculdade junto da Divisão Académica para pedir ajuda para resolver este “berbicacho”. Foi nesta altura que agradeci ter pertencido ao Conselho Fiscal e saber a quem é que tinha de explicar a situação e pedir ajuda. Foram mesmo muito competentes e ajudaram-nos imenso. No meu caso, construímos uma declaração com as exactas palavras que a pessoa encarregue do meu processo requisitou. Enviámos o email para ele e cruzámos os dedos. Resultou. Não recebi email nenhum dele mas 1 semana depois chegou a minha carteira profissional. Era, a partir desse momento e para o bem ou para o mal, farmacêutica na Noruega J

Em relação ao Ricardo, o processo foi ligeiramente diferente. Só pegaram no processo dele em Agosto e também pediram uma declaração mas com menos informações que a minha. Estávamos no Algarve nessa altura mas até isso jogou a nosso favor: já tínhamos por outra razão de vir a Lisboa e tratámos de tudo no mesmo dia. Voltámos para o Algarve mais descansados e a carta também não tardou a chegar a casa dele.

What is needed for having the Course Equivalence (Pharmacists' License): 

We started to study at the end of January and only around June or July have we sent the documents to the SAK (Statens Autorisasjonskontor for Helsepersonell), whose translation is something like "Office of the State for permits / registration in the health domain."

Who is thinking in emigrating to Norway and have not the slightest idea of how it is processed, it is  an interesting reading. 

It is important to be aware that they warn in the website that they have a 3-month period give an answer about the process. In my case it took a month (or less), in Ricardo's case took two months and in the case of PG took those three months. So, you have to be aware of that!

I leave here then the summary of what is required to this process and for who is applying from a country of the European Union: 

1. Updated Passport: Go and take care of it as soon as possible. In my case, in Portugal, I picked up a strike by SEF (Foreigners and Borders) and I was about 3 weeks waiting for it instead of 5 working days; Here it costs about 65 €;
2. Diploma / Letter of Course / Certificate of Qualification in English. It depends a bit of the college where you took/ended the course. Lisbon practically only uses the certificate of qualifications. Must be in accordance with Article 44 of the Directive 2005/36 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005.In the Faculty of Pharmacy of Lisbon I paid for mine certificate about 70€;
3. Statement of the Order of Pharmacists: I believe they call it CCPS. You should not have a problem. Here in Portugal with this wave of emigration they know best the kind of paper you need. In the background is a statement attesting that you are a pharmacist who do not have any debt or disciplinary proceedings in progress and who took the course in a college under the same Article 44 of the previous point. In this field paid the modest sum of € 312.5. This is because I had to sign up in the Pharmacists' Order, paying € 300 (a bargain, sayy what?), the "entrance fee" and 12,5€ that corresponds "the monthly fee" (yes € 12.5 per month for the Order when there are pharmacists actually receiving € 700 per month ... unreal is it not?!);
4. More money. To complete the process you have to pay a fee to the Norwegian Ministry in order to deal the process. Here I had to pay more € 234.69. An important detail: You must know how your bank can issue a receipt (can not be a print screen) and also you have to know how to make the payment in kroner (NOK instead of EURO), and without shared costs. From what my tinny tinny understanding of "Banking speech", "without shared costs" means that is who is applying that will be charged for all costs of operation. For a transfer of 1560 NOK (193 €) we paid € 41.60 for operating costs (thanks mom, thanks dad who paid me this part :) ). I must say that we asked in several banks and after that we realized that turns out to be this kind of values everywhere;

Authenticate all documents and mail: We dealt with this in CTT (Portuguese Post office)  but I think it was risky since, only after having paid and having the papers in my hand did I discovered that the CTT authentication is ONLY done in Portuguese. It doesn't make great sense but what could I do after that ?! Anyway, there is a generic list of organisms in the SAK website which they accept as being able to authenticate documents. I know a pharmacist that is already living in Norway (BIG kiss for RM if you read someday: P) that dealt with this authentication at the embassy of Norway. This part costed around 45€.

 As you can see, even to emigrate is necessary to have working capital. If we calculate all costs, only in this case we have over 700 €. I honestly had this sort of notion values ​​for talking to a colleague who works in the UK. But I still think it is a lot of money !! 

And when at last it seems that something was missing?

Yep! It is true. We sent the papers and we awaited for news. I was just waiting for that in September, since the PG only had news of her process three months later when she received a letter in her home with her Norwegian professional license. 

However, three weeks after we sent the letter, I received an email from a representative of SAK who was in charge of my process. And Ricardo had not received anything. 

After all, what was written in the email? They were saying I had not sent the Diploma / Letter of course. Ups. Say what?! Basically from there, we started an  email exchange explaining that the Certificate of Qualification that I had sent him was much more complete than the Diploma; that costs about 100 € and takes at least six months to be issued (yes, this is true ! It is like that because it has the signature of the Rector of the University). 

We managed to reach an agreement and we headed to the faculty to speak with the Academic Division for having help solving this "berbicacho" (portuguese word for big problem). It was then that I thanked to have belonged to the Supervisory Board and to know who I had to explain the situation and ask for help. All of them were very competent and even helped us greatly. In my case, we had to build a statement with the exact words that the person in charge of my case ordered. We sent an email to him and we crossed fingers. Resulted. I have not received any email but, one week after I got my professional portfolio. I have become from that moment, and for good or for evil, a pharmacist in Norway.

Regarding Ricardo, the process was slightly different. They only took on his case in August and it was also asked for a statement but with less information than mine. At that time we were in the Algarve (south of Portugal) but even that we had in our favor: we already had other reason to come to Lisbon and dealt with all at the same day. We happily returned to Algarve and the letter also was quick to come to his house.
