Going North : Chuva,bagas e futebol - como passar um dia na Noruega! // Rain, berries and football

Após 2 meses bastante atarefados e que levaram a que não dedicasse tanta atenção ao blog como desejaria, venho falar de uma actividade que fizemos no fim de semana passado :)

Primeiro há que parabenizar PORTUGAL por serem campeões europeus no futebol e pela data de prémios que temos ganho noutras modalidades!!

No Domingo passado, antes do jogo de futebol de Portugal (<3) achei que devíamos fazer qualquer coisa e não ficar apenas em casa.

Ora, querendo fazer uma actividade diferente já que temos o pai do Ricardo e a irmã Dani de visita, pesquisei pela internet como é que se poderia ir apanhar bagas.

Inicialmente pensei que o mais fácil de encontrar seriam os morangos mas não encontrei nada onde pudesse-mos ser nós a apanhar as bagas, o chamado "selvplukking". Sempre me falaram que isso é muito popular cá na Noruega mas, como tantas outras coisas aqui em Telemark, não considero que seja bem publicitado. Ou publicitado de todo aliás. Encontram-se artigos de 2013 ou 2014 e já é com sorte.

Excepção feita para duas quintas que têm produção de framboesas, uma em Skien e outra em Porsgrunn. E foi esta última que eu achei que tinha mais potencial para passarmos uma hora ou duas entretidos! Apresento-vos o "Traaholt gård frukt og bær":D. Este, ao contrario de todos os outros é claro quanto às informações que dá, preço e datas em que as pessoas podem aparecer para apanhar. O conceito é simples e muito giro: falamos com os proprietários que fornecem as caixas para as framboesas (pequenas ou grandes) e depois é ir apanhar e pagar a quantidade que se apanhou.

Lembro-me de fazer isto no Algarve com laranjas e ancores mas penso que não é algo muito habitual em Portugal.

Aqui na Noruega conseguimos passar umas horas entretidos na conversa, a apanhar framboesas e a provar umas pelo caminho (com autorização sim? eheh).

O dia que resolvemos ir não foi o mais feliz porque estava bastante cinzento e chovia de facto quando lá estivemos. Fez parte da experiência é certo! Aqui na Noruega se evitamos fazer qualquer coisa com receio que chova mas vale nem planear nada :). E vivemos nós do lado leste da Noruega onde supostamente chova consideravelmente menos! Enfim! Já hoje, cerca de uma semana depois, está calor e sol... mas não sem referir que tem chovido todos os dias :(. Saudades do meu país <3.

Nesse mesmo dia, voltámos para casa, jantámos e seguimos caminho para um pub aqui em Porsgrunn onde fomos ver os jogos do Europeu e onde fizemos a festa no final da noite :D.

Para terem uma ideia de preços, o quilo de framboesa fica a 70kr (por volta dos 7 euros) mas nós enchemos 2 caixas que deu para fazer a festa e não tinham mais de meio quilo. E a da Filipa nem 300 gramas tinha :). No supermercado estas framboesas custa 40kr 300 gramas. Daí a actividade ser gira e não sair cara! Aconselho a todos a experiência :).

After almost two very busy months away from I am back and going to talk about an activity we did in the past Sunday :)

First there to congratulate PORTUGAL for being European champions in football and the many other awards we have won during the last days !!

Last Sunday, and before the Portuguese football game (<3) I thought we should do something and not just stay at home.

I wanted to do a different activity since we have the father of Ricardo and Dani (his younger sister) here visiting. I have done a little bit of research to try to find a place to pick berries.

Initially I thought the easiest to find would be the strawberries but I came to the fact that it was not easy at all to find that in the Internet. Not here in Telemark anyways.The Norwegians call it "selvplukking" and it is supposed to be popular in Norway but, as many other things in Telemark, this is not the most easy activity to find. The publicity and marketing around that is very poor in general and if you find articles from 2013 ou 2014 your are lucky.

Exceptions have to be made with two places: one in Skien and one here in Porsgrunn where you can go and pick raspberries :)

The last one i mentioned, in Porsgrunn was the one I found to have more potential to spend a couple hours. I present the "Traaholt gård frukt og bær": D.

This, unlike everywhere else is clear about the information you give, prices and dates that people can appear to pick raspberries. The concept is simple and very cute: you go there, you talk with the owners (very very nice couple) who provide the boxes for raspberries (small or large) and then you can just go pick up and pay the amount you will carry home.

I remember doing this in the Algarve with oranges and another fruit similar to oranges (ancores) but I think it is not very common in Portugal yet. But maybe i am wrong!

The day I decided to go there was not the happiest because it was very gray and it rained in fact when we were there. It was part of the experience indeed! Here in Norway if you avoid doing anything because it might rain.. you can´t plan anything :). I have to say we are so unused to bad weather that when really does rain, we don't want to do anything outside lol.

It rains a lot here and we are living in the east side where supposedly the weather is better. I miss my country XD. But ok.. today is not so bad.. besides that it has rained each day since last week.

The same day, we went back home, had dinner here and went to a pub here in Porsgrunn where we saw the final of the UEFA Europe 2016 and where did the party at the end of the night :D.
